Welcoming letter
Dear visitor,
Argentina has been undergoing a severe confidence crisis that involves our institutions, our political and business leaders, our economy and other aspects of our society.
Fidentia Foundation’s main goal is to reestablish confidence as a landmark between the Argentina we are and the one we want to be. We intend to achieve this by generating new forms of social interaction and strengthening the existing ones.
Fidentia is a Latin expression that means confidence, which we associate with hope, security, encouragement, decision, courage, fidelity and familiarity.

We want to make Argentina
a reliable country

Thus, the challenge consists of rebuilding bonds between different social sectors, based on confidence as the essential value to influence and modify our current reality. We believe in the transforming capacity of confidence, the great social asset existing in modern societies which enables them to create the necessary conditions to carry out the change.
The experience of developed countries with high levels of confidence in society shows that different social players do not necessarily follow explicit rules or regulations, but are bounded by moral duties and obligations, based on mutual confidence. This phenomenon can be seen in such different countries as Germany, Japan or the USA. Argentina needs to set up structural reforms in order to restore credibility and confidence in the political, entrepreneurial, work force and social sectors in general.
These reforms will lead to, for example, a balanced legal framework which will in turn promote an independent judicial power as a way to eliminate corruption and to freely develop a democratic system. We believe that confidence is appreciated in all strata of society: in the business world, where confidence in market is one of the most important indicators of its success; or in the political arena, where reliability is the key issue due to the power vested to government leaders by the people. Recent Argentine history has shown that alarming levels of distrust have an enormous effect on governability and eventually led to the resignation of presidents and the consequent economic, political and social crisis.
At Fidentia Foundation we are committed to work envisioning a society which trusts its political leaders, companies, business partners, employers, employees, work mates, salesmen, buyers, policemen, judges, politicians, teachers and communicators. We are confident that in our country things can and have to work in a different way. That is why we intend a true revolution. Our name, Fidentia, entails a great responsibility. Our daily work shows our proposal. We hope you join us in this quest. Listening to you will help us grow.
