Citizen Project
Citizen Project is a programme targeted at the formulation of
proposals designed to create and encourage social citizenship,
strengthening the ties among civil society, scientific knowledge and
government institutions.
The ultimate aim of the programme is to create strategies and
proposals of public policies for a stronger democracy and for the
sustainable development of municipal governments. Our objective is
to have cities that are easier to govern, subject to a fast and
steady process of modernization and social and economic equitable
development. These cities should be ready to benefit from the
opportunities provided by globalization and strong to defend
themselves from its threats, having a dynamic exterior policy.
In order to reach the objectives of this programme, we will analyze
vital issues and formulate proposals to promote territorial
development and democratic strength on the basis of true experiences
and detailed research concerning the national, regional and
municipal levels, by means of publications, lectures, seminars,
workshops, etc.

of social issues at the local level.

To contribute to the betterment of the public policy
in the region, especially regarding those issues lacking in debate
and analysis.

To analyze the institutional fabric of the
municipalities belonging to the region.

To promote the enhancement of the existing statistics
type and quality.

To encourage citizens’ debate about strategies of
local development.

To generate working relationships with Associations, Foundations, Centers of
Study and Consultancy Firms with the same or a similar purpose.
